Kareena Kapoor who was moved by the plight of weavers in Chanderi village has donated Rs three lakh for a solar project that will supply electricity in the village. Kareena has also spoken about this cause with some of her friends in Bollywood. Shilpa Shetty and Bipasha Basu have shown interest in helping Chanderi weavers.
