Ram Gopal Varma's Agyaat strategy pays off!
Ram Gopal Varma's Agyaat strategy pays off! Even though his techniques may be quite controversial and even unacceptable at times, there's no doubting that Ram Gopal Varma knows how to pull it off. RGV used dead bodies and dummies to lure audiences for Agyaat and we're sure at least a mediocre amount of people will watch the movie.
But here's the surprising part of the news: Agyaat has already recovered its investment even before the movie has released. Wondering how!!??

After the producers UTV zeroed in on the horror film genre - a relatively shaky genre to recover money - they roped in RGV. They then decided to produce the entire film only on a small budget of five crore. This is where Ram Gopal Varma stepped in. He cast south star Nitin in the lead role, ensuring the film will succeed down south. The film has also been dubbed in Tamil and Telugu for the same purpose and so Ram Gopal Varma and UTV cut out 700 prints of the movie. 150 of those prints will be for the South market, for which the rights have been sold for a real handsome amount there. This has led to the complete recovery of all investment. So whatever money Agyaat makes from the box office here will only be pure profit.

So, do you feel like watching Agyaat now? Or are you horrified already?
