Knock-Out trailer knocked out!
Knock-Out trailer knocked out! The Censor Board is at it again. Snipping, chopping, banning sequences from Bollywood flicks that hurt sentiments or make derogatory references.
This time, at the receiving end is producer Sohail Makhlai's Knock-Out starring Sanjay Dutt, Kangna Ranaut and Irrfan Khan.
In the trailer, when someone wonders aloud why the 1000-rupee note is pink in color, Irrfan retorts: "Because it is created from the blood and sweat of the common man."
The censor board raised an objection to what they see as a derogatory reference to the Indian currency.
The cut has not gone down well with the filmmakers who have gone to the revising committee with the trailer. They justified that the ill-gotten wealth of India's politicians is indeed the blood and sweat of the common man!
True! But insulting money regarded as Goddess Laxmi in Indian culture is sure to raise brows!
