Kareena didn't want to go de-glam for 3 Idiots

Kareena Kapoor promised to go completely de-glam for Kurbaan and she didn't let us down! But for 3 Idiots she had plans on turning back into style icon that she is. Bebo didn't want to be seen in a de-glam role once again, but director Rajkumar Hirani thought otherwise.
"Kareena has had an ultra-glam image in all her movies but in '3 Idiots' we wanted her to look very simple. Previously, she wasn't convinced of her deglamorised, geeky look for '3 Idiots' but somehow we managed to convince her. She plays a medical student in the film."
However after her release, 'Kurbaan' bombed at the box-office, Kareena didn't want to take any chances. Well, of course her look was not the only stand alone factor that led to the disaster, but why take risks once again.
Then again, with powerhouses such as Aamir Khan, Rajkumar Hirani and Vidhu Vinod Chopra behind the driver's seat of 3 Idiots, the movie looks very promising, with or without Bebo's makeup.
